I like long hair.

Picture
January 29, in the morning sun. I am a natural redhead, but see how much it has faded?? I'm seriously considering using Henna glazing to punch up the color to what it was a few years ago. This is my hair, freshly washed, air dried, and only finger-combed.

Picture
Jan. 29, 2011, after running a brush through...I wondered if a different color shirt would make it look redder. My hair definitely is "fluffier" after just washing. I think I will let it grow a little longer.  it is a little above my waist.  I never cut it till I was 17 or 18 (just trimmed a bit, then), it has always just been blunt-cut. I like my hair being long, I like it being red, my only complaint is that it is too think on top. I think it is pretty healthy. I think long hair is the easiest to care for, and I'm all about low-maintenance.

Books

Amy Dacyczyn The Tightwad Gazette
Don Aslett (anything)
Sandra Felton (anything "Messies" related)
Dr. William Sears (anything baby/child/breastfeeding/pregnancy related)
Jeff Campbell ("Speed Cleaning" books)

My Favorite Cleaning products
Zep Citrus Cleaner and degreaser from Home Depot--Diluted 1:5 for general cleaning in spray bottle, and 1:30 for carpet cleaning. This comes in one gallon jugs           and lasts "forever".  I love it..

Lemon Breeze Lysol disinfecting cleaner

Windex for glass

Generic lemon scent ammonia for floors

Generic liquid hand soap (clear kind) diluted about 1: 5 and refilling the "foamy" type soap dispensers. May have to experiment a little for right consistency.  I always
forget to use the foamy soap on DRY hands--that would save me more water if I'd remember to apply and lather, then RINSE.
